Manager Housing Policy

• Lead the formulation of housing policies and practices that align with key corporate directions, positioning the Housing Policy and Housing Roadmap to address future challenges and support the achievement of the Directorate’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate across teams and with key stakeholders to ensure integrated policy development, foster innovation, and promote a culture of excellence and accountability within the Housing Policy function.
• Undertake broad and complex professional activities such as policy investigations, assessments, strategic planning, and change management to drive continuous improvement in housing policy and service delivery.
• Provide expert input into the development and prioritization of housing-related programs, projects, assets, systems, and services to ensure alignment with DHUD’s objectives and support the successful implementation of change initiatives.

Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

• Experience in producing documentation to assist in decision making of executive leadership, Minister and Cabinet
• Experience in or knowledge of the infrastructure, housing or planning sectors
• Experience managing projects in complex policy environments
• Significant experience in building strong positive working relationships across the public and private sector.
• Experience in strategic planning or policy development
