You will support the management of construction materials testing projects by reviewing daily reports, collaborating with project teams, resolving technical and administrative issues, and training field staff. Responsibilities also include managing project budgets, preparing invoices and pay applications, and assisting with collection efforts. You will prepare and review proposals and change orders, prioritize tasks based on deadlines, host or attend client meetings, and follow up on reports as needed.
You will actively mentor junior project managers and support overall team development, collaborating with other managers and internal recruiters on staffing decisions. Additionally, you will market ECS services, establishing new client relationships while maintaining existing ones. As your experience grows, ECS will support your professional development through additional mentoring, leadership opportunities, and advanced certifications.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology (certain construction management and technology degrees are not considered). Candidates must have at least five years of relevant experience, a professional licensure such as Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG), and a valid driver’s license with insurance for company travel. Strong marketing skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of heavy construction safety, CMT principles, ASTM laboratory standards, and leadership are also essential.
