Manage and ensure compliance of international trade operations and documentation.
Support Sales and Engineering departments to structure global transactions to ensure adherence with US/Canada import/export laws and regulations, as well as laws/regulations of foreign jurisdictions.
Demonstrates Price’s strong commitment to customers by ensuring timely and high quality support and high-level presence during critical times or events.
Liaise with Price’s selected Customs Broker.
Expresses unique ideas and takes action that will generate successful customer solutions.
Keeps the customer (internal or external) as the focal point of all activity and strives to address customer needs and concerns. This perspective includes:
Oversee the review and approval of all commercial invoices, license applications, and any other paperwork required for international shipments.
Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on Price’s compliance activities.
Steps up to conflicts, seeing them as opportunities and reading the situation quickly.
Gain knowledge of regulations, statutes, and laws regarding trade compliance requirements impacting Price’s business activities.
Oversee the required record retention of documents to ensure recordkeeping and reporting requirements are maintained in accordance with the Canadian, U.S. & other foreign regulations.
Responsible for the correct classification, usage and reporting of Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs), tariff codes (HTS), Country of Origin information (COO), and Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and other required information as necessary.
Encourages and values creative solutions to customer needs.
Interface with other business functions to ensure documentation is accurate and maintained.
Recognizes the business concerns and interests of others.

Monitors process, progress, results and designs feedback loops into work.

Monitor the conduct of business activities for adherence to import/export procedures throughout the business, including early-stage review of new models and classification of commodities through final delivery to customer.

Work with management to implement any identified corrective actions.
Analyze current supply chain and business systems to ensure consistent trade practices.
Shares information with other groups or divisions.
Helps the customer achieve their business goals through the application of own skill, behaviours and knowledge.
Support managing Price’s trade program, which includes export/import classifications, licensing determinations, denied party screenings and sanctions programs, identifying deemed exports.
Looks at ways to combine and unify efforts across the organization to address common issues and objectives.

Picks up on technical aspects of the job quickly in order to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
Support international business development by creating processes that support trade compliance as well as gathering information to support international relationship development.
