Create purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner
Ensure that all purchase requests have been approved in accordance with authorized approval levels
Order supplies for individual departments and maintains purchase requirements
Review orders and requests to ensure vendor compliance, and recommend vendor changes when necessary
Develop and optimize vendor relationships
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Direct communication with manufacturing personnel to ensure seamless operation of the facility with minimal disruption of production
Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
Place orders and expedite as needed to insure timely delivery
Coordinate and processes all Return-To-Vendor requests
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Review any invoice discrepancies. Apply to suppliers with requests for credits or adjustments
Identify most cost effective freight movement
Ensure the accurate and timely purchasing of all items or services to fulfill and meet company requirements
