Foreman I - Solar Racking

Description

• Performs site surveys and adapts system design as needed.
• Conducts daily safety meetings and ensures all crew members follow safe work practices.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues that arise during the installation process.
• Coordinates with other teams and project managers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Recommends promotions and disciplinary actions as required.
• Reads and interprets contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• Follows company safety policies.
• Supervises and evaluates performance of racking installation crew members.
• Interprets project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate racking installation.
• Trains employees on proper equipment use, improving job performance and productivity.
• Completes daily foreman reports, tracks production, and submits accurate crew timesheets.
• Manages quality control to ensure processes are implemented according to project design.
• Establishes and maintains a 3-week lookahead schedule on a weekly basis.
• Assigns tasks and directs work to ensure project goals are met safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of solar racking systems and installation techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints accurately.
• 30hr OSHA Certification a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in operating pile drivers (e.g., Vermeer and Turchi) and jobsite material handling equipment.
• Proficient in assigned pile driving techniques for steel piles.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in solar racking installation or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
