As part of ERM’s dynamic environmental team, the specialist will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, helping safe and sustainable energy delivery while safeguarding sensitive habitats and species. The position directly contributes to the company’s mission of delivering sustainable solutions and preserving natural resources.
The day‑to‑day work includes conducting vegetation assessments and biological surveys, monitoring construction sites for compliance, and providing accurate field data that inform project decisions. The specialist will also liaise with landowners, crews, and contractors to coordinate site access and implement erosion‑control best practices.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent experience, with up to four years of consulting background. A valid driver’s license, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, GPS, and mobile data‑collection tools are required. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, HAZWOPER or CPR/First Aid certifications, and familiarity with CEQA, NEPA, and Clean Water Act compliance.
The role offers an annual base salary between $61,299 and $75,562, with potential bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and retirement savings plans.
