Requirements

STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Transportation Intern to join its Transportation team. The hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office and preferably a three‑month full‑time commitment. Interns will collaborate with senior and junior designers on a variety of public‑sector and private‑sector infrastructure projects, including transit, pedestrian, bicycle, roadway, bridge, and other structures.

Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or structural engineering at an ABET‑accredited university (or equivalent). A strong interest in transportation engineering and familiarity with MicroStation or Open Roads Designer are preferred, along with any experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management fields.

The internship offers broad exposure to STV’s organizational structure through diverse assignments, the use of company‑wide and department‑specific software, and involvement in tasks that contribute directly to project success. Interns will also gain practical experience in report formatting, file management, and documentation support.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or structural engineering at an ABET‑accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
• Familiarity with Open Roads Designer and/or MicroStation software.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
