Facilities Technician (night shift)

Description

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems (HVAC, electrical, carpentry, fire alarm, etc.).
• Prioritize daily work orders, keep management updated on progress, and ensure cost‑effective completion of authorized tasks.
• Respond to client inquiries on maintenance activities and resolve problems professionally and promptly.
• Participate in safety training, use proper personal protective equipment, and follow OSHA regulations.
• Inspect completed work for compliance with local building and safety codes.
• Handle after‑hours emergencies and coordinate after‑hours repair activities as needed.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in facilities or building operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of air‑conditioning, fire‑alarm, and ticketing systems, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Experience leading a team or acting as a team lead is preferred.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Physical ability to traverse facilities, lift up to 50 lb, and perform repairs while standing or sitting for extended periods.
