Millwright

Description

• Responsible for preventative maintenance, inspecting and repairing mechanical equipment within the plant facility such as pumps, seals, motors, conveyors and various other pieces of industrial equipment.
• Working with plant engineers and operational staff to identify technical deficiencies or to resolve problems on plant equipment.
• Interprets drawings, plans and determines the best way of making machining repairs to minimize interruption to production.
• Assemble, fit, align, and adjust machinery and equipment.

Requirements

• Safety-focused, with a strong understanding of company and regulatory safety standards.
• Positive attitude and able to work in teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Journeyperson Millwright Certification (Alberta) or Red Seal Interprovincial Certification.
• Previous experience maintaining equipment in a plant environment.
• 5+ years of Millwright experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or processing environment is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must be able to pass the pre-employment background checks (criminal record check and drug and alcohol test)
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and alignment techniques.
• Familiar with maintenance management systems and basic computer applications.
