Manage and self-perform tasks associated with inspections/surveys and abatement monitoring for asbestos, lead, mold (water intrusion), IAQ, and other regulated building materials at a variety of facilities including but not limited to: commercial, public schools, financial, retail, industrial, chemical, manufacturing, oil/gas, electrical, etc.
Provide detailed written and/or electronic project field notes, sampling summaries for work conducted.
Travel to project locations in the greater Southern California area on a daily basis. Also, travel longer distances, with the potential for overnight stays, as required.
Routinely interact/communicate with Arcadis’ project managers, and leaders; abatement contractors; consultants; and client personnel to ensure on time and satisfactory performance on projects.

Ability to take ownership of assigned work and contribute to the success of the team. This includes the ability self-perform work, prioritize schedule, communicate with project team as needed, produce on time, high quality documentation and be responsive to phone and email requests
State of California Certified Site Surveillance Technician
Strong communication, skills both written and verbal
NIOSH 582 certification or equivalent certification
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment over the duration of a work shift
The willingness to learn new digital technologies for field services
General understanding of HVAC systems, building mechanical systems, building construction
Ability to work on teams as well as independently with minimal direct supervision
Problem-solving skills: able to identify problems and implement corrective processes.
Must be able to climb and descend a ladder
OSHA 30-hour Construction
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in consulting environment with lead-paint, hazardous building materials management, indoor air quality, mold evaluations, and ventilation system assessments.
A valid driver’s license, clean driving record is required.
AS or BS in physical sciences or industrial hygiene, safety, environmental sciences, or related science or engineering fields, not required
Experience with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook
Must be able to clear background check, pass medical exam and be medically cleared to wear negative pressure respirator
State of California Lead Sampling Technician preferred
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER
