The Warehouse Operations Leader will manage all daily warehouse activities at Badger Meter’s distribution branches. Responsibilities include inventory accuracy, shipping coordination, freight scheduling, warehouse layout design, and training of warehouse staff. This role ensures products flow efficiently, orders are delivered on time, and the warehouse remains organized, safe, and optimized for success.
Key duties involve shipping, receiving, cycle counts, inventory audits, location management, and coordination with customers and freight carriers. The leader also handles damaged‑goods reporting, freight quote collection, and the processing of returns and non‑conformance inventory. Overseeing load and unload operations, they may work overtime to receive the final truck of the day.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with 0‑1 years of related warehouse experience preferred. Candidates should possess intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
The role demands high work standards, proactive initiative, clear communication, and strong collaboration across the organization. Employees are expected to set personal performance benchmarks, act promptly to achieve goals, convey information concisely, and work cooperatively with internal teams and external partners.
Work is performed in an office‑adjacent warehouse environment, requiring the use of standard office equipment and personal protective gear for most of the day. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Badger Meter offers competitive pay, annual bonus eligibility, and health, vision, and dental coverage. Employees receive 15 days of paid time off plus 11 paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with a 25 ¢ match up to 7 % of compensation and an additional 5 % employer contribution, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250, and a range of voluntary insurance options.
