Description

• Operate and maintain assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance; report issues to supervision.
• Adjust equipment settings daily to optimize performance.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory standards; conduct pre‑operation inspections and complete required paperwork.
• Communicate with team to ensure safe workflow and assist with repairs.
• Listen for abnormal noises and address potential equipment issues.
• Operate wheel loader, excavator with attachments, skid steer, concrete crusher/screeners, shovel, man‑lift/telehandler, water truck, and hand tools.

Requirements

Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, often with high noise levels and exposure to vibration, dust, chemicals, and heights. The physical demand is heavy, requiring occasional lifts of 50‑100 lb, frequent climbing, balancing, reaching, bending and prolonged sitting while operating equipment. Operators must meet visual, auditory, and dexterity standards to safely perform duties.

The position may require travel to multiple job sites and includes additional duties as assigned. All employees must adhere to the company’s drug‑free workplace policies.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years heavy‑equipment experience; 5 years preferred in crushing/mining.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices; mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
• Familiarity with product loading, plant operations, and transport scales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, stressful environment.
• Commitment to a drug‑free workplace and willingness to travel.
