- Provides reliable technical / process input on own initiative but able to determine when work should be escalated to a higher level.
- Undertaking basic planning appraisals and research
- Keeps up to date with current developments within own areas of expertise as well as gaining a wider knowledge of the company.
- Review of Local Planning Authority (LPA) Local Plans and their stage of production.
- Applies standard principles, practices, and techniques to follow established procedures.
- Prepares letters, reports and others documents under supervision and/or from standard templates.
- Preparation of fee proposals to generate new business.
- Plans, schedules, and monitors own work within agreed deadlines.
- Drafting planning applications, pre-application enquiries and appeals.
- Operates within a defined area of work and provides support to their team as required.
- Assisting with community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations.
- Responsible for the completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost whilst working within established routines and principles.
- Assisting clients throughout the planning process.
- Liaises and assists other team members who are also developing.
- Carries out site visits.
- Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process.
