Director of Construction

The Director of Construction Operations will oversee daily operations, strategic planning, and execution across multiple projects. This leader will drive efficiency, build structure, and lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume construction environment.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects with tight timelines and standardized deliverables.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing construction team, ensuring alignment, accountability, and performance excellence.
• Drive safety, compliance, and risk management across all active projects.
• Build operational processes and project standards for scheduling, quality control, and reporting.
• Lead with a proactive, hands-on approach—balancing strategic oversight with practical field understanding.
• Partner closely with the COO to set strategy, monitor budgets, and provide ongoing performance updates.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure consistent communication, satisfaction, and retention.
• Oversee the execution of commercial refresh, remodel, and program projects—balancing speed, cost, and quality.

The ideal candidate has a strong construction leadership background with experience managing multi-site refresh and remodel projects ranging from $5,000 to $1.5 million, as well as program work (standardized, high-volume projects completed across multiple sites).

📍 Omaha, NE (On-site) This role is on-site in Omaha, NE, with approximately 30–40% travel as needed.

• Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar construction management tools.
• Strong background in program management or multi-site work.
• 10+ years in commercial construction management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success leading high-volume, quick-turn projects in commercial or retail construction.
• Experience overseeing P&L, bidding, and job costing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field required (Master’s preferred).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead through change and growth.
