Advise Business Development and Management on the company's internal protocols and procedures to ensure that compliance is maintained.
Work closely with Business Development and Management in structuring, preparing, negotiating and concluding transactions for prospects and projects in the markets served by the Manufacturing & Technology business (semiconductors, electric vehicles/batteries, data centers).
Under the overall supervision of the Manufacturing & Technology business’Manager of Legal, the Senior Counsel will usually work on transactions independently with Business Development and Management. Senior Counsel will retain legal services from outside counsel as needed and appropriate.
Provide advice and assist in the negotiation and settlement of disputed claims with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
Advise and support Manufacturing & Technology Management and project personnel on legal issues during the execution of projects.

Minimum 10 years work experience with Engineering and Construction projects and related contract documents — from a major law firm or major Engineering, Procurement and Construction firm.
Must be prepared to travel on an "as-needed" basis.
Experience with a variety of commercial contract models, including lump sum, cost reimbursable and GMAX/GMP structures
This role requires you to be located in or near Reston, VA, or Houston, TX. "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”
Well-honed advisory, negotiation, and drafting skills.
Experience with semiconductoror data center owners or projects.
A high degree of business acumen and a strategic approach.
Requires a Juris Doctor (or international equivalent) and 10+ years of relevant experience
Must hold a current bar admission from a U.S. jurisdiction (foreign qualified lawyers will also be considered).
Capable of directing and reviewing the work of junior attorneys.
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the company.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
