Perform daily field inspections to ensure installations, repairs, and replacements of mechanical/electrical/structural/civil components within water and wastewater treatment plants and conveyance systems.
Initiate written/verbal communication between project stakeholders regarding all activities.
Coordinate meetings with contractors, clients, and staff to address work progress.
Actively participate in problem solving regarding construction work on complex projects.
Conduct quality control inspections of electrical/mechanical systems, wiring, and control installations as well as quality control inspections during commissioning and training of electrical and mechanical systems.
Prepare daily written reports detailing work progress, labor, equipment, and force accounts.
Provide field inspections to ensure construction components comply with contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable permits.
Provide daily onsite oversight of contractor activities under the supervision of the Construction Manager/Resident Engineer.
Track contractor’s schedule compliance, specifically related to project milestones.
