Key duties include splicing and testing fibre optic cabling, troubleshooting technical issues, and interpreting maps, drawings, and testing documents. The splicer will also perform splicing rearrangements on existing facilities and conduct regular field inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with technical specifications.
- Execute splicing and testing of fibre optic cables in underground and aerial settings.
- Interpret maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documentation.

Applicants must have proven experience as a fibre optic splicer/tester, be familiar with safety procedures for work at height and confined spaces, and possess strong interpersonal and MS Office skills. Ability to read customer‑provided drawings, maintain daily time and production logs, and hold a valid provincial driver’s licence with a clean abstract are required. Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening is also mandatory.
