Interact with clients and public agencies
Train and review the work of support staff
Prepare construction documents, specifications, reports, and studies
Prepare and participate in public meetings and presentations.
Assists with project pursuits by providing technical expertise on proposals and marketing meetings
Assist with project/contracting scoping, fee development, contract negotiations, and execution
Perform designs for all types of roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, NCDOT, and/or local municipalities' design standards and criteria

Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microstation, Geopack, Corridor Modeling and Open Roads
Experience in managing and organizing multiple tasks and related disciplines
Strong engineering analysis and judgment
Survey experience and data management
Proactive and self-motivated attitude
BSCE or BSCET degree with a minimum of 5 years of progressive design experience in all aspects of transportation design including roadway, traffic management, signing, pavement markings and utilities; or equivalent level of experience
Ability to work collaboratively
Ability to train support staff
NCDOT design experience
Knowledge of NCDOT design standards and practices and experience in project development workflow
PE license required
Advanced knowledge of and experience in roadway and transportation management design
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
