In this role you will conduct hydraulic analyses of existing assets, establish and approve firm pipeline capacity, and develop models to support facility improvement and emissions‑reduction programs. You will provide technical support for FERC filings, collaborate with Gas Control and other stakeholders for daily operations, and coordinate maintenance and project activities with internal teams and customers. Solutions will be designed to align with commercial objectives, contracts, tariffs, and U.S. regulatory standards, leveraging simulation software and historical data.
The Facility Planning West team is seeking an engineer who will report to the Manager of Facility Planning West and deepen knowledge of US Natural Gas (USNG) Commercial Operations through on‑the‑job assignments with minimal supervision.
The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution, 2–4 years of practical engineering experience, and proficiency with fluid‑flow simulation tools such as DNV Synergi Gas, Gregg Engineering, or ProMax.
Preferred qualifications are strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, advanced Microsoft Office skills, intermediate knowledge of a programming language like Python, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a general understanding of U.S. natural gas industry operations.
