Description

The Janitor role is tasked with keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. This includes routine cleaning of floors, carpets, windows, walls, furniture, and high‑touch surfaces, as well as maintaining restrooms and replenishing supplies.

• Clean interior building areas: floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and general surfaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairs, and locker rooms.
• Dust and wipe furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
• Disinfect high‑touch items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Maintain and restock restroom supplies; clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures.
• Empty trash, recycling, and ashtrays; dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Wash windows and mirrors; remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
• Clear trash and snow from sidewalks when required.
• Track cleaning activities on a chart and report unsafe or maintenance‑needed conditions.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
• Close doors at the end of night shifts and lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Follow safety and security procedures and use equipment properly.
