The Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician ensures quality and safety on construction projects by independently sampling materials, performing tests, and inspecting properties with specialized equipment. Findings are documented and shared with project managers and stakeholders to support informed decisions and maintain structural integrity. The role requires travel to diverse job sites and the ability to work in various terrain and weather conditions.
Ideal candidates are collaborative, take ownership of their work, and aim to positively affect communities. Required qualifications include strong communication skills, teamwork ability, an associate degree or construction experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, flexibility in scheduling, and the capacity to lift 50 lb. Preferred certifications are ACI Grade 1, ICC Nuclear Gauge, or relevant DOT/Road certifications.
