Demolition of munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) and MEC related items
Keep an open line of communication with other CAPE staff for multiple aspects of task execution and completion
Maintain administrative efficiency with the timely completion of time sheets and expense reports for assigned projects
Operate IAW approved work plans and explosives siting plans, oversees the storage, transport, handling and administrative accounting of demolition explosives
Identify potential MEC items in the field as they are encountered
Actively participate in quarterly and annual performance evaluation meetings with Supervisor and direct reports to identify potential areas of professional development as well as deficiencies and plans for improvement
Inspects expended ordnance, ordnance related materials and range residue to verify presence or absence of energetic materials IAW applicable directives and DOD regulations
Operates hand held radiation detection instruments to screen range residue for low-level radioactive waste items
Align staff and self with CAPE’s policies, procedures, culture and values
Identifies unexploded ordnance, fuzes and fuze conditions.
Ensures demilitarization of ordnance, military type vehicles and assorted residue IAW applicable directives and DOD regulations
Operates handheld geophysical equipment and conducts range sweeps to locate surface and subsurface anomalies
Provide technical expertise and technical assistance to staff
Ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information
Continuously communicate with project team, clients and Project Managers
Develop and maintain knowledge of all corporate policies and reporting systems
Manage deadlines and due dates of delegated tasks to achieve cost performance goals within assigned area

Technical knowledge and the ability to learn additional technical, science and engineering based concepts
Graduate of a military EOD school or an accredited UXO Tech I course with three (3) years of explosive experience in all phases of UXO and UXO related operations to ensure compliance with DOD directives and local, state and federal statutes.
Willingness and ability to respond quickly and effectively to client questions and problems. Able to balance competing demands among clients with differing needs and expectations
Experience performing all functions enumerated for UXO Sweep Personnel, UXO Technician I as defined in U.S. Army Engineering Pamphlet EP-1110-1-18, Chapter 20.

Strong work ethic and leadership abilities
Activities may require use of respiratory protection and chemical protective clothing
Personal time organization, time management, follow-up, ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities, and handle details on multiple projects.
Potential exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; elevated work locations; outside weather conditions; and exposure to heat or cold extremes.
Five (5) years combined military EOD and civilian contractor UXO experience in all phases of UXO and UXO related operations to ensure compliance with DOD directives and local, state and federal statutes. Required on an Improved Conventional Munitions (ICM) site.
