The candidate must possess fundamental knowledge of medium‑voltage switchgear design, including VCBs, SF6 breakers, current and voltage transformers, numerical protection relays, meters, and control diagrams. Familiarity with components such as surge arrestors, switches, and electrical panel accessories is essential.
They should have solid expertise in protection relays, power‑system single‑line diagrams, multifunction meters, and the selection of CTs, VTs, and surge arrestors. Understanding circuit‑breaker parameters—short‑circuit ratings, switching duties—and IEC standards for switchgear panels is also required.
The role involves preparing electrical circuit diagrams for MV VCB panels, generating bills of materials, and creating control logic via contactors, relays, or Boolean logic gates. Knowledge of the network architecture of relays and meters up to SCADA integration is essential.
The ideal candidate is dynamic, customer‑centric, and results‑oriented, with a passion for new technologies, project leadership, and strong communication skills. They should be able to drive special projects such as tool deployments and program organization within departments.
Benefits include exposure to AutoCAD, Creo‑2, 3D Inventor modelling, and transformer mechanical design up to 20 MVA / 132 kV. The position also offers experience with mechanical design, optimization methodology, stress calculations, and applicable transformer standards.
