Reporting to the Quality Manager and working under the testing team lead, the Tester conducts all EPC testing to verify product functionality and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The position ensures adherence to the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) and ISO 9001, supports production line continuity, and upholds Eaton’s High 5 focus areas: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
- Functionally test products by following test scripts, applying power to units, and checking component function under load.
- Perform other testing functions such as wiring continuity checks, visual inspections, mechanical inspections, labeling, checklist completion, and dielectric tests.
- Provide technical support to colleagues by troubleshooting, communicating, and solving intermediate issues with production, marketing, and manufacturing information.
- Partner with marketing and manufacturing information to assist in developing test procedures and standard method sheets, providing feedback on new or revised procedures.
- Perform all job functions adhering to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as Safety and Environmental Standards.
- Review and clarify Material Information documents to assemble or modify doors, sub‑assemblies, and tilt table apparatus parts.
- Actively participate in Safety and Gemba Walk programs.

Candidates must hold a post‑secondary credential in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, have 3‑5 years of electrical testing experience, possess basic MS Office skills, reside within 80 km of Edmonton, and be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, as well as strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities, is preferred.
- Must have completed a post‑secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- 3‑5 years’ experience in an electrical testing environment is ideal.
- Basic knowledge and skills in MS Office.
- No relocation provided; candidates must reside within 80 km of Edmonton.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing processes and Six Sigma tools.
- Intermediate computer skills.

Benefits
The role offers an hourly rate of $30.50‑$34.00 and participation in a variable incentive program. Salary is a guideline and will be adjusted based on the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
