Description

This non-exempt position works under general supervision on the production line to build manufactured housing as part of a team. The employee is expected to perform manual labor efficiently while maintaining quality and adhering to safety standards.

The role requires reading tape measures, blueprints, and orders, and using hand, air, and electrical tools. Good communication and teamwork are essential to keep the work area neat and to meet production goals.

• Perform all assigned manual labor on the production line
• Keep the work area neat and clean
• Measure and interpret tape measurements, blueprints, and orders
• Communicate effectively with coworkers
• Operate hand, air, and electrical tools safely
• Follow safety procedures and Champion Operating Principles
• Stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lb regularly; occasionally lift over 100 lb

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong work ethic and work quickly and methodically
• Work well within a team environment
• Hold at least a less‑than‑high‑school education or up to one month related experience; prior manufacturing/modular housing experience is preferred
• Meet vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
