Specialising in the structural, civil and transmission engineering discipline, the Principal Transmission Lines Engineer provides professional engineering advice to internal and external clients and supports the transmission design team in development of work methods, transmission infrastructure engineering design, calculation, and integration. The Senior Design Engineer also acts as a subject matter expert supporting Enerven functions of Construction, Maintenance and Restoration in the area of overhead transmission lines and related activity.
- On-site project support for construction and maintenance teams
- Provide professional engineering for overhead transmission lines i.e.:
- Provide subject matter expert advice within the business for matters relating to overhead transmission lines and related activity
- Provide Technical Leadership and support to the engineering & design project team and provide mentoring experience to junior team members
- Work with industry suppliers and service providers to facilitate delivery of designs and transmission construction works
- Engage with clients to deliver major infrastructure projects

You will have a strong background in transmission engineering, construction and maintenance practices along with design expertise, PLS-CADD proficiency, and leadership skills. Must be detail-oriented, collaborative and committed to quality and safety.
- Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, that will allow admission as Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia. (CPEng is desirable)
- Communication Skills (Oral, written, & interpersonal)
- A minimum of 10 years experience within the Transmission industry
- Project Management Skills (Planning, optioneering, organising, and prioritising)
- Transmission Engineering Software Package Skills (PLS-CADD, Tower, & PLS Pole)
- Structure design, footing design and line design (route selection/ structure spotting/ PLS-CADD modelling)
- Current SA (South Australia) Driver’s license
- Engineering input to construction and maintenance work methods
- Flexi-time accrual
- Knowledge of Transmission Design, Construction, and Maintenance Methods
