Field Commissioning & Balancing Technician

Description

• Identify and document system deficiencies or deviations
• Collect and record system readings for air and water balancing
• Work with senior TAB technicians and commissioning agents to ensure systems meet design intent
• Assist with HVAC system start-up, testing, and performance verification
• Perform field measurements, inspections, and functional tests
• Support project documentation and reporting requirements

Requirements

We’re seeking a motivated technician interested in advancing into a Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) career. This position is ideal for individuals with commissioning, QA/QC, or mechanical field experience who are eager to expand their skill set. As part of our commissioning and TAB team, you’ll support system performance testing, air and water balancing, and equipment verification on commercial HVAC projects.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC, commissioning, or mechanical construction
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of building systems
