  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Reconcile fixed asset schedules to the general ledger
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures
  • Collaborate with AP, AR, payroll, and other departments to ensure transactional accuracy
  • GAAP & Financial Reporting: Applies a solid understanding of GAAP principles to ensure accurate and compliant financial documentation.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with financial data and insights
  • Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with maintaining the chart of accounts and accounting system setup for new entities
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
  • Lead and support month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to streamlining reporting workflows
  • Prepare internal financial reports and management summaries
  • Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews
  • Support tax reporting and regulatory filings as needed
  • Analyze financial results, provide variance explanations, and support forecasting efforts
  • All employees are responsible for the general upkeep of work and shared spaces
  • Maintain fixed asset records and ensure timely recording of additions, disposals, and depreciation
  • Regular team member feedback surveys to drive workplace improvements

  • Accuracy & Organization: Maintains high standards of precision and organization across all financial tasks and deliverables.
  • Accounting Systems Proficiency: Navigates platforms like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar with ease to streamline accounting workflows.
  • Financial Presentation & Stakeholder Engagement: Clearly presents financial data and insights to internal stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making across teams.
  • This position requires manual dexterity and proficiency in using computer keyboards, mice, and other office equipment.
  • Advanced Excel & Data Tools: Leverages advanced Excel functions and optionally data visualization tools to support financial analysis and reporting.
  • This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing office tasks and have the capacity to maintain proper posture and ergonomics to prevent discomfort or injury.
  • This position must have the ability to handle and manipulate paperwork, files, and office supplies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
