stakeholder reporting
Reporting to the Head of Data, the Senior Data Scientist will shape innovative energy products. Working across Operations, Finance, Sales, Trading and Product teams, you will analyze customer behavior, consumption patterns and develop advanced models to uncover opportunities in traded and flexibility markets, informing strategic decisions and enhancing customer segmentation.
The role involves end‑to‑end analytical initiatives, from framing operational problems to delivering executive recommendations. You will build predictive and propensity‑to‑contact models, design A/B tests, segment customers, and partner with Operations, Customer Experience, Product and Technology teams to translate insights into measurable outcomes.
- Analyze customer interaction, billing, payments, and service data to identify drivers of contact and failure demand.
- Develop and maintain predictive models and statistical forecasts for contact volumes and operational workload.
- Build propensity‑to‑contact models across voice, chat and digital channels for proactive demand deflection.
- Design and evaluate customer experience interventions using A/B testing and quasi‑experimental methods.
- Quantify failure‑demand drivers by linking upstream process issues to downstream customer contacts.
- Segment customers based on behavioral and risk patterns to inform operational and experience outcomes.
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Experience, Contact Centre, Product and Technology teams to implement data‑driven changes.
- Produce clear visualisations and analytical narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Lead end‑to‑end analytical projects from hypothesis formulation to executive recommendations.
- Apply advanced techniques such as regression, time‑series forecasting, survival analysis and causal inference.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security and regulatory governance.
- Extract, transform and analyse high‑volume datasets using advanced SQL and Python.
