Assistant Community Manager

Description

The Assistant Community Manager supports leasing operations and resident relations, ensuring smooth processes and high satisfaction across the community.

• Greet and qualify prospects using lead management software; assist with applications and deposits per Fair Housing.
• Maintain availability reports, process applications, conduct credit and rental history checks, and follow up with applicants.
• Show apartments, close sales, prepare for move‑ins, obtain signatures, and conduct community orientations.
• Manage lease renewals, send notices, process move‑outs, apply fees, and update management software.
• Collect rent, enforce lease terms, track fees, and initiate evictions when necessary.
• Respond promptly to resident complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Follow eviction procedures, including notices, court representation, and proceedings.
• Conduct market research, implement outreach marketing, and maintain property listings on Radix or equivalent.
• Maintain an active social media presence to enhance property visibility and engagement.
• Complete all required paperwork for leases, move‑ins, and check‑outs in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months relevant experience).
• Minimum one year of customer service or apartment leasing experience; accounting background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, climb stairs, read documents, hear communications, lift up to 20 lb, and operate computer equipment.
• Willingness to work on‑site, outdoors, in confined spaces, heights, or potentially hazardous areas.
