Position will suport large heavy civil construction projects in the Greater Hampton Roads, VA area.
Participates in regulatory inspections and investigates near misses, injuries, accidents, and incident trends to assist in root cause analysis process, which ensures corrective measures are put in place to eliminate potential for recurrence.
Mentors, coaches, provides feedback and evaluates performance of safety employees.
Communicates with corporate claims department to ensure proper documentation has been prepared and maintained on asset loss and workers compensation claims.
Enforces safety program and related policies and procedures and implements immediate corrective actions in accordance with the Company, Federal, State and Local regulations and owner requirements.
Leads, directs, manages and enforces the accident prevention program and the laws that relate to safety on a construction project.
Develops and facilitates training programs, and holds regular safety meetings with field crews, subcontractors, and professional staff.
