- Level and finish concrete, grout, and related products on floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, and sidewalks.
- Read and interpret tape measures, speed squares, project plans, blueprints, and drawing coordinates.
- Place, vibrate, and finish concrete in various applications (walls, slabs, footings, piers).
- Repair, patch, and sack concrete as needed; install grout for steel and equipment.
- Operate hand and power tools, including power trowels, vibrators, saws, and concrete mixers.
- Inspect finished concrete, monitor temperature effects, and apply sealants, curing agents, or waterproofing compounds.
- Position molds and forms, install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in fresh concrete.
- Direct small crews, mentor journeymen and helpers, and coordinate with foremen on hazards or material needs.
- Maintain safety standards: participate in toolbox talks, follow OSHA and company regulations, wear required PPE, and keep work area clean.
- Provide personal hand tools per Casey Tool List; company supplies power tools and safety gear.

The position requires a full‑time commitment of roughly 50 hours per week, with the ability to work overtime, varying shifts, and up to 90 % travel to project sites. Work is physically demanding, involving heavy lifting, prolonged standing, exposure to changing weather, and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Minimum four years of concrete finishing experience; Master Journeyman must hold an NCCER‑approved craft certification.
