  • Assembly of subassembly components including oil pans, water manifolds, fuel rails, filter bases, regulator housings, oil coolers, after coolers, and front and rear housings
  • For example: one stage of progressive build could be assembly steps including, but not limited to, short block assembly, long block assembly, installation of heads, valve lash adjustment, installation of wiring harness or installation 1X parts on engines
  • Assembly of progressive build CAT diesel or natural gas engines

  • A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 7 or higher. Relevant & applicable external experience to the position will alternatively be considered.
  • Completion of any automotive or HD technician apprenticeship training is preferred.
  • Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • The successful candidate may be required to complete training during a Mon - Thurs / Fri weekday shift and will move to weekends once they have sufficient experience
  • Understanding of engine components
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner & comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures.
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator.
  • Understanding of proper torquing procedures
  • Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively.
  • Capable of operating basic service tools as well as all critical analog measuring devices including dial bore gauges and micrometers is preferred.
  • Previous experience working on heavy equipment engine components
  • This posting is for a static weekend shift scheduled Fri, Sat, Sun - 12 hours per day
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions.
