The position requires conducting feasibility studies, preparing detailed design documentation, providing technical support throughout project delivery, and ensuring compliance with British, American, Canadian and other international standards. Project management duties cover timeline, budget and resource control, while proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, LinSig and related tools is essential. - Design and develop traffic‑signalized intersections and ITS solutions such as Variable Message Signs, CCTV, MIDAS, HAWIS, HADECS, vehicle detection systems, Emergency Roadside Telephones, and associated power & communication networks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate ITS designs into broader transport projects and conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and drawings for traffic signal and ITS projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across British, American, Canadian and other international codes.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, delivering work within set timeframes and independently leading small to medium‑size projects.
- Maintain a proactive approach to emerging technologies such as AI, Digital Twin, Edge Computing, Quantum Technology, and AI‑powered traffic signal systems.

The role seeks an electrical/electronics or communications engineer with a bachelor’s or master’s degree and professional membership (e.g., IET). Candidates must have 5‑10 years’ experience in traffic signals and intelligent transport systems (ITS) for highway or infrastructure projects, preferably on international assignments in the UK, US, Canada or the Middle East. Responsibilities include designing traffic‑signalized intersections, developing ITS solutions such as VMS, CCTV, vehicle detection and communication networks, and integrating these designs within multidisciplinary transport projects.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering and be a member of a recognized professional institution (e.g., IET).
- Possess 5–10 years of experience in electrical/electronics, traffic signals, and/or Intelligent Transport Systems for highway/infrastructure projects, preferably on international projects in the UK, US, Canada, or the Middle East.
- Demonstrate proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, LinSig, and Amtech/Trimble Pro, along with strong Microsoft Office skills and modern communication/collaboration tools.
- Desirable experience includes specification and programming of traffic‑signal controllers (UTC/SCOOT, MOVA), offshoring or global delivery exposure, digital delivery methods, and mentoring junior team members.
