What you would be doing

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure alignment of engineering solutions with operational goals.
- Support project execution from concept through commissioning, including documentation, bill of materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
- Participate in value engineering and design optimization initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and performance.
- Review vendor specifications, technical bids, and manufacturing drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
- Lead the design and development of bulk material handling systems including belt conveyors, apron feeders, crushers, bucket elevators, rotary dryers, and pneumatic handling systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the mechanical design team.
- Conduct system design calculations, equipment sizing, and load/capacity analysis in compliance with IS and CEMA codes.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and 3D CAD models using tools such as Smart plant 3D, Microstation, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, and Tekla.

- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, DFM/DFA, and PLM.
- Experience with international projects and workshare execution models.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from accredited university.
- Exposure to equipment such as vibrating feeders, crushers, drive systems, automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS), and unloading/bagging stations.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (IS, CEMA).
- Knowledge of procedures used for the procurement and quantity control of bulk materials applicable to the discipline.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems, STP/WTP, and auxiliary mechanical packages.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience of working as designer in an engineering company in bulk material handling system design
- Good communication, problem-solving skills.
