Tasks

-Maintain corporate level internal control documentation to ensure the financial statement close process is SOX compliant; -Assist with external auditors’ requests to ensure all documentation requirements are met; -Actively participate in the review of quarterly accounting reports received from portfolio companies to ensure consistency and accuracy, and provide timely feedback; -Deliver consolidated Brookfield Renewables results to Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) and Brookfield Corporation (BN) on a quarterly basis; -Assist in the integration of new assets/acquisitions into the consolidated accounting and reporting framework; -Prepare supporting schedules and analysis required for financial statement disclosures and management reporting; -Coordinate and execute monthly intercompany reconciliations across Brookfield groups; -Correspond regularly with portfolio companies and other corporate departments on financial close related activities; -Proactively identify issues and implement improvements to streamline processes; -Perform Ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required

This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively. -Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities; -Recognized professional accounting designation from CPA Canada, candidates who have passed the CFE exam may be considered. -Experience with accounting and consolidation systems considered an asset (OneStream) -Solid analytical abilities, combined with strong attention to detail; working in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner; -Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS -Strong interpersonal skills; ability to proactively establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group at all levels of the organization and across platforms; -Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of progressive work experience with Canadian or US public accounting firm -Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel
