In the cost‑management delivery strand, the associate will lead cost services on office fit‑out projects, establish and apply best‑practice processes, provide cost planning, control and value‑engineering expertise from concept to completion, manage procurement and tender activities, and deliver accurate cost reporting, change management and final account settlement. The role also involves mentoring colleagues, ensuring compliance with JLL global standards and Irish regulations, and developing additional services such as lifecycle costing, carbon accounting and ESG assessments.
The business‑development component focuses on identifying and pursuing opportunities to extend JLL’s cost‑management services into base‑build and shell‑and‑core projects, building relationships with developers, main contractors and institutional clients, preparing proposals and leading client presentations, and collaborating with other JLL service lines to offer integrated solutions while representing the firm at industry events and tracking market trends.
Process development and leadership responsibilities include establishing a formal cost‑management function within JLL Ireland, creating scalable processes to support team growth, providing technical leadership, and contributing to strategic planning for the service‑line expansion.
Essential requirements are a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline, chartered status (preferred), 6–10 years of cost‑management experience in the Irish or UK construction industry (including at least five years on office fit‑outs), proven ability to set up cost‑management procedures, solid business‑development exposure, strong knowledge of Irish procurement and contracts, experience managing projects valued €2 M+, excellent communication and stakeholder skills, proficiency with cost‑management software and MS Office, and a full driving licence with willingness to travel. Preferred qualifications include consultancy experience, knowledge of sustainable construction and green‑building standards, existing industry relationships, and mentoring experience.
JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way by combining world‑class services, advisory and technology for clients. The firm is committed to hiring talented people, helping them thrive, grow meaningful careers and find a place where they belong, whether they come from commercial real‑estate, skilled trades or technology backgrounds.
JLL offers a competitive salary, performance‑based bonus, comprehensive benefits (health insurance, pension, life assurance), hybrid working arrangements, professional development support, clear pathways for team growth, access to a global network and career progression opportunities, and travel expense reimbursement. The role provides exceptional growth potential to build and eventually lead a specialised cost‑management team as the client base expands.
