Distribution Center Lead

Description

• Respond to shipment errors/inquiry emails
• Assist Distribution Center Associates with work process questions and problems
• Check accuracy of Distribution Center Associates work
• Verify back-orders and adjust inventory as needed
• Pick and pack orders accurately and promptly
• Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of Distribution Center
• Manages appropriate queues inside the Kendall business system
• Attend meetings and training sessions
• Check assigned equipment for proper operation/functionality and report problems to supervision
• Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards
• Receive inventory accurately and promptly
• Monitor truck loading to ensure accuracy of loading
• Truck loading and unloading according to established procedures
• Perform defined Distribution Center activities specific to the receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stock
• Restock inventory in designated storage areas
• Assist Supervisor/Manager with daily tasks and projects as assigned
• Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas
• Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures
• Building Team Morale
• Prioritizing workflow of scheduled orders
• Participate in safety initiatives as assigned

• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects
• Cross-functional skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of a Distribution Center Supervisor/Manager

• Ability to climb stair/step ladders up to 16 steps, bend, stoop, crouch and kneel
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, pull, and push during entire work shift
• Analytics/Computer Skills: Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools/machines/vehicles; basic math and reasoning skills
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day
• Must learn how to operate equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, crane, etc.
• Organization Skills: Excellent work ethic, good verbal, and communication skills ability to work independently
• Work Experience: 3 years prior warehouse experience; 2 years prior experience operating forklift
• Ability to lift, move and carry up to 50lbs
• Work Experience: 1 year prior warehouse experience
