As a lawyer on our dynamic legal team, you will proactively support Hines’ investment management business, focusing on private institutional European and APAC real‑estate funds. You will provide legal and business guidance across fund formation, ongoing operations, and day‑to‑day client interactions, while coordinating with external counsel to manage material legal risks.
- Lead legal matters for private/retail fund establishments, advising on structuring and drafting documentation such as term sheets, partnership agreements, PPMs, side letters, subscription documents and service agreements.
- Assist with ongoing fund operations, advising on marketing and diligence materials, interpreting legal documents, identifying conflicts of interest, and handling regulatory and investor‑relations issues.
- Lead or assist in establishing fund co‑investment vehicles.
- Act as a liaison between external fund counsel and internal Hines stakeholders, collaborating with fund management, portfolio management, accounting, finance, investor relations, capital markets and tax teams.
- Lead strategic projects, including preparation of guidance notes and template documents for the legal team and broader business.
- Oversee and manage outside fund counsel.

- Licensed to practice law in the UK and/or another relevant European or APAC jurisdiction.
- Minimum 5+ years post‑qualified experience in a top law firm, in‑house at an investment manager/financial institution, or a combination thereof.
- Experience advising GPs on structuring, establishing and operating European and/or APAC funds; advising LPs on investments; and/or advising on fund co‑investment vehicles.
- Experience with private funds preferred; retail funds, Luxembourg vehicles and real‑estate industry exposure considered beneficial.
- Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking abilities; able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication skills, fluency in English (second language a plus) and willingness to travel within Europe and to the United States.
