Design of ITS equipment and communications infrastructure including fiber optic and wireless technologies, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Wrong Way Vehicle Detection Systems, and various sensor technologies
Work within a team of professionals to develop design plans and specifications for a variety of Transportation Systems and communication equipment & infrastructure
Writing technical reports and memoranda
Development of Traffic Signal Design Plans and Specifications for state and municipal clients
Development of Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP), including traditional and smart work zones and construction phase service planning for state, municipal and private clients
Perform engineering field work as needed (various field equipment testing, utility and infrastructure verification, taking measurements and pictures at field sites, etc.)

Experience developing civil design and construction documents – preference given for state DOT experience, a plus
Ability to read and comprehend design and construction specifications and plans preferred

EIT preferred
AutoCAD and/or Microstation preferred
0-1 year of professional experience with a desire to learn the planning, design, and construction of transportation equipment and/or communications systems (cellular, fiber, wireless) preferred
Excel in working in a team environment
Systems Engineering documents for transportation technology projects following the FHWA Systems Engineering Process
BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Attention to detail
Technical Report Writing experience preferred
