The role leads, coordinates, and manages support resources for project costing on large, complex projects. It may also involve long‑term customer programs, estimating material costs and labor, and assisting in final project review while adhering to the company’s quality processes and improving Pre‑Construction tools and processes. The incumbent attends various project meetings, including go/no‑go, pre‑bids, turnover, contract risk, and legal reviews.
Key responsibilities include developing turnkey estimates for building automation projects, reviewing customer specifications for technical compatibility, coordinating subcontractor quotations, creating detailed scope letters and optimal system designs, and leading pre‑bid meetings and site walk‑throughs. The position collaborates with operations, engineering, and sales to lower costs, reconciles final job costs after reviews, supports sales calls, maintains vendor relationships, and ensures effective project turnover to operations.
Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, have knowledge of building automation systems, and preferably experience in data‑center or life‑science sectors. An interest in a sales career track is also valued.
The compensation range for this full‑time U.S. position is $70,000‑$75,000 annual base salary plus short‑term incentive.
