The MEP Cost Consultant role provides expert support and advice on mechanical and electrical services across projects. Responsibilities include preparing design briefs, assessing contractor proposals, conducting cost analyses, and managing contracts from pre‑ to post‑execution. The position also involves maintaining client relationships, attending onsite meetings, and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
- Provide support and advice on mechanical and electrical services.
- Prepare design brief documents for MEP systems.
- Evaluate contractor design proposals and specifications.
- Conduct cost analyses and develop cost plans for MEP projects.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, promoting firm services.
- Attend onsite and consultant meetings, liaise on MEP matters.
- Interpret engineering drawings to calculate project costs.
- Prepare and manage MEP contracts and nominated sub‑contracts.
- Measure quantities, administer pre‑ and post‑contract work, assess variations.
- Compile contract documents and ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Allocate work to subcontractors and produce detailed progress reports.
- Value completed work, assess interim payment applications and final accounts.
- Participate in retirement savings plan and employee stock purchase plan.

We seek candidates with a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or Building/Quantity Surveying with MEP knowledge) and 4‑5 years of post‑graduate experience in design, supervision, project management, cost estimating, tendering, and contract administration. Ideal applicants are responsible, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and possess strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and written English skills.
- Hold a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or Building/Quantity Surveying with MEP knowledge).
- Possess 4‑5 years post‑graduate experience in design, supervision, project management, cost estimating, tendering, and contract administration for MEP.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and written English skills.
