Requirements

Carrier Commercial Services is seeking an experienced Service Manager for its San Leandro, CA location. The role oversees a group of Operations Professionals and Union Field Technicians who deliver planned maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and installations for large commercial projects, aiming to exceed customer expectations while meeting revenue and margin targets. The manager splits time between the field (40 %) and the office (60 %).

The position requires a strong understanding of the commercial air‑conditioning business, including relationship management, talent development, field operations, and safety. Successful candidates will be comfortable leading both in‑office planning and on‑site execution.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of commercial HVAC or service industry experience. Preferred experience includes managing union field service teams, deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, familiarity with safety and code compliance, and proficiency with ERP platforms, Microsoft Office, and dispatch tools. Strong communication, budgeting, forecasting, and resource‑planning skills are essential.
