What you would be doing

- Cross train to other positions as needed
- Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; and contacting appropriate personnel to supply inventories
- Line side material handling as required
- Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Verifies specifications by measuring and testing completed components
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms as needed
- Prepare for shipping finished product by palletizing, crating and loading as required
- Utilize lifting hoists or manipulators as required
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor
- Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management
- Utilize computers, scanners and printers as required

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques such as 5S, one piece flow, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, and more
