Ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner, while maintaining safe driving practices
Identifies, evaluates, and mitigates risk
Recommend to the Shop Foreman of any maintenance needs of both truck and trailer
Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment
Load and unload truck and trailer as needed
Assist in non-driving duties as needed
Ensure weight of cargo is of legal allowance
Monitor and analyze all opportunities to improve efficiencies
Think and act strategically carrying out long-term plans to meet operational needs and departmental goals
Responsibility of making sure truck and trailer is properly loaded for safe transport of cargo
Ensure equipment and vehicle specifications meet local laws and regulations
Performs human resource functions for attracting and retaining employees
Represent the Company in a respectful manner
Responsible for maintaining an accurate and legal logbook

3 or more years of over the road driving, transporting heavy construction equipment
Ability to think creatively when approaching problem resolution, but ultimately decisive and be able to execute solutions
Must be multi-tasked oriented
Ability to work closely with diverse groups of individuals, including Company employees at all levels, customers, vendors and outside professionals with whom the Company deals with on a regular basis
Able to multi-task and effectively prioritize work
Strong problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and tolerance for a high pressure and dynamic environment
Proficient technology skills including smartphones, and tablet
Earthmoving and Crane equipment knowledge
Able to read and comprehend Bill of Lading and Packing Slips
Thorough knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, company policies and procedures
Must be able to travel as needed
