Maintains detailed records and reports of all inspections and compliance cases.
Assists client staff and team members whenever necessary.
Updates files, answers phone calls, and schedules inspections as necessary.
Completes daily duties responsibly and safely with respect to private and personal property.

Strong knowledge of building and related municipal codes, building inspection methods and techniques and construction materials, methods and techniques.
ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector (preferred)
Capable of following directions and asking pertinent clarifying questions.
Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a building construction inspector is required.
Ability to operate work-related technology (laptop, tablet, iPhone) and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Self- disciplined and able to work without direct supervision. Works well with people and performs as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
ICC Commercial Inspector (required)
Maintains ICC certifications and professional credentials. Secures additional ICC certifications, attends training opportunities, and consistently studies codes and standards as related to work requirements.
Readily communicates with staff, citizens, teammates, and builder/contractors as necessary.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. We prefer supplemental additional training in building inspection, structural engineering, or a related field. An Associate's Degree in engineering, architecture, building inspection, or related field, or equivalent ICC certification level is a plus.
Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and conduct.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Solves problems and has a positive attitude while establishing and maintaining relationships.

The starting wage range for this role commences at $70,000 per year up to $75,000 per year. It is subject to potential increases that are contingent on factors like experience, education, licenses, or certifications.
