The position involves both pre-design and design engineering work. Candidates will coordinate and verify as-built drawings, conduct field investigations, set up multidisciplinary drawings and models, and collaborate with team members on design coordination, schedules, and deliverables. They will also perform feasibility studies, prepare schematic designs, develop reports, select equipment, size solar systems, and conduct power analyses.
Design responsibilities include creating single-line diagrams, load schedules, lighting selections and controls, and normal, emergency, and renewable power system designs. Engineers will conduct Arc Flash, Short-Circuit, and Coordination studies using ETAP or SKM, and perform energy calculations with EnergyPro or IES VE while working closely with cross-functional project teams.
Kimley-Horn is seeking recent Electrical Engineering graduates to join the Power Delivery Team at its Orlando, Florida office. This role is on-site and not remote.
Applicants must hold an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and be able to graduate by Summer 2026.
