Tasks

-Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses -Oversee testing, commissioning and turnover of MEP systems. -Conduct inspection of mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems at various Transportation related facilities like Airports, Tunnels, Bridges, Terminals, Transit Systems, and Ports. -Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma) -Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities -Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. -OSHA 30-hour training -Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) -NFPA Fire Protection System Certification and ICC M2 Mechanical Inspector Certification -Strong written communication skills -Excellent Organizational and communication skills required. -PE license in New York or New Jersey -5 years’ experience in construction inspection of mechanical/HVAC work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJTA, NJDOT, NJ Transit. -HDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements.
