Lead Structural Bridge Engineer

Description

• Prepare technical specifications, reports, calculations, and plan sets; support clients during construction.
• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews to ensure integrated, well-coordinated deliverables.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers and CAD staff.
• Lead the analysis and design of complex bridges and transportation structures using industry-standard software.
• Perform quality-control reviews of structural calculations and drawings.
• Evaluate and design rehabilitation strategies for existing bridges.
• Develop engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
• Support or lead the development of proposals and client agreements.
• Create and refine design procedures to support efficient, high-quality work across the team.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in bridge design software (Open Bridge Designer, STAAD, MDX, MIDAS or similar).
• Proven analytical problem-solving abilities and thoughtful engineering judgment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey technical concepts.
• Demonstrated experience designing bridges and transportation structures from concept through final design.
• Professional Engineering License (PE).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience) and ~8+ years of structural engineering experience.
