The company is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co‑Op for its Philadelphia, PA office. The co‑op will work alongside experienced engineers and consultants on analysis, design, and implementation oversight of building electrical systems. The internship can last from three to twelve months, depending on the program length, and will involve managing project budgets and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet client expectations.
In this position, the intern will contribute to project design, research equipment options, maintain client communications and documentation, and coordinate schedules with architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, and supplier disciplines. The role also includes tracking design decisions, reviewing project documents for completeness, issuing addenda, and performing site observations as required by contract agreements.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in design consulting, familiarity with CAD or BIM tools, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Effective oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Applicants must have completed at least two years toward a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree, and prior internship experience in building design consulting is preferred.
The role requires regular activities such as sitting, walking, standing, talking, seeing, hearing, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds, with occasional driving, kneeling, and exposure to outdoor conditions and noise.
